Recommended by the Department of Music Theory of Ram named after Gnesins as a methodological manual for teachers-theoretics of music schools (colleges) and music universities
In this manual written at the request of teachers of theoretical disciplines of the college named after Gnesins, the principles of approach to solving harmonic problems that have developed over 46 years of practice of harmony have been set out. The main ones: 1) Harmony is the ensemble of melodies, where all the voices are united by semantic relationships, 2) the attitude to the harmonic vertical is clearly different depending on its metric position: harmony on a strong share is appreciated for freshness, brightness, fullness, stylistic integrity, harmony on A weak share - for the logic of a melodic connection with the harmony of strong shares. These principles correspond to the logic of composer practice in the classical foundation.
The manual is addressed to teachers and students of secondary and higher music educational institutions.
2nd edition, corrected, supplemented
