100 great scouts of Russia

The proposed book is a collection of essays on the fate of foreign intelligence officers of Russia. Their brief biographies are given here, the most striking episodes of their operational activity are described.
Thousands of "fighters of the invisible front" wrote the history of the intelligence service of our state, many of whom can be called outstanding, or even great ones. Within the framework of this series, we present only 100 names. Naturally, this choice can be called conditional and subjective. Nevertheless, when selecting the heroes of the narrative, we tried to take into account the stable opinion about them as people who received wide recognition and achieved specific successes in the reconnaissance field.
Many of the heroes of the book devoted all their lives to intelligence, some of the one, but a very bright episode of their work deserves other attention. About the intelligence activities of some, entire volumes in the archives are stored. The wonderful biographies of others had to be collected from very fragmentary information, and even that based only on the memoirs of colleagues. But in our understanding, all of them can be attributed to personalities of a historical scale
