The textbook contains material for in-depth study of artillery weapons samples. The history of the creation and combat use of mortars, their design, operation and interaction of units and mechanisms, rules for handling weapons and ammunition, features of operation and repair of artillery weapons and ammunition, preparation of artillery weapons, ammunition and devices for combat use, design and tactical-technical characteristics of the 2B14 mortar, mortar systems, 2S12 are presented in the textbook. Possible malfunctions of mechanisms, methods of their elimination by the regular crew and with the involvement of repair units are indicated. The prospects for the development of mortar weapons are outlined.
