Arthur Chilingarov

On August 2, 2007, the participants in the Russian expedition plunged on two Batiskaphs at the bottom of the Ice Ocean in the North Pole area and installed the flag of our country (Titan Tricolor) there. One of the tasks of the expedition was to prove that the Mendeleev Ridges and Lomonosov, an area of ​​about a million square kilometers, are a continuation of the continental shelf of Russia and should be considered its territory. He led this expedition to a person truly legendary - the famous polar star, a scientist, Hero of the Soviet Union, a prominent politician Arthur Nikolaevich Chilingarov.
