The book sets out: the conceptual model of pathogenesis, clinical features, diagnostic issues and the main recommendations for the treatment and prevention of arterial hypertension of elderly and senile persons. The meaningful information of the book is mainly intended for a general practitioner (family doctor) and district therapists. This is due to the fact that in the health care of the Russian Federation to geriatric aspects in the clinic of internal diseases and family medicine is given extremely little attention. The authors hope that the issues of clinical diagnosis, treatment and prevention of arterial hypertension considered to some extent will replenish the existing gap in providing medical care to the elderly and senile age.
The book is intended for general practitioners, therapists, gerontologists and geriatricians, cardiologists and other specialists
