Ariadne Aleksandrovna Redtt (1906-1997) - artist of bright and complex fate. The granddaughter of the famous doctor and pioneer of Russian aeronautics Nikolai Arendt was born in Simferopol. She grew up in the artistic environment: her aunt was married to Mikhail Larri, the grandson of Ivan Aivazovsky, the family of the arenids was friends with Maximilian Voloshin, who becomes an Ariadne’s mentor in art, and Koktebel became a refuge. A graduate of the Simferopol technical school of fine arts, since 1928, Ariadna Arenida has been studying in Moscow Vhutin with Vera Mukhina, Joseph Tchaikov, Vladimir Favorsky. At the institute he meets Meer Aizenstadt, in 1934 their son Yuri was born, in 1936, Ariadne falls under the wheels of a tram and loses both legs. The second husband of Ariadne, sculptor Anatoly Grigoriev was arrested in 1948 in the fabricated case "Anti -Soviet Theosophical Underground" and released only after the death of Stalin. "Your art will not go anywhere. This huge test must be withstanded perfectly, ”Ariadna writes to her husband to the camp. The book contains memoirs of Ariadne Arendt, her autobiography and correspondence, memories of relatives and acquaintances, for the first time published a selection of artist’s works, as well as photographs from the family archive
