The analysis of the gravitational field for the Skosh Sea and the surrounding territories is presented and the degree of isostatic balance of the region is evaluated. The history of the study of oil and gas deposits of the Spitsbergen archipelago and the prospects for their development are considered. A scheme for the distribution of foci of oil and gas formation in deposits of the Pechora Sea was drawn up. On the basis of geological and geophysical data and paleotectonic reconstruction, an attempt was made to show that the northern Arctic Ocean is a genetically compound heterogeneous formation. The results of geomorphological and seismological studies of various areas of the Barents Sea are generalized. The study of the hydrochemical structure of the water of some seas of the Southern Ocean is continued. Biological articles are devoted to the study of organic compounds in the polar seas and the study of changes in the sea and mainland ecosystems of Western Antarctic.
