The characteristics of the fire hazard of wood plates and their classification by combustibility, toxicity of combustion products, smoke -forming ability are given. Theoretical provisions and conditions for the participation of antipyrene in the formation of the structure of wood materials are set out. Technologies for the manufacture of flammable wood and fiber plates are described. The action of wood -destructive, mold and wood -colored mushrooms on wood is considered. Information on effective antiseptics and technologies for canning and antisepting wood plates is given. The phenomena that ensure the resistance of the plates to shock influences are described. The main provisions of the water resistance of wood plates are formulated and hydrophobization of high -concentrated paraffin emulsion was considered. New tiled -like materials are reported. Specific examples of modernization of production are given.
