The catalog of selected projects and buildings of the Studio 44 architectural bureau over the past five years. The past five anniversary has become a record for the number of projects of public structures (museums, theaters, scientific and educational complexes) and publicly accessible city places (parks, embankments, recreational zones) And although the pandemic of coronavirus forced society to atomize, and many architects - to revise the value of public spaces, for us they were and remain the “salt of the earth”, whether it is a small school recreation or a spacious city square. We are still committed to the idea of the coherence of the habitat, which implies the design of urban fabric inherited by its environment, but at the same time corresponding to the modern needs of the city community. The continuity of planning and architectural principles of development is the cornerstone of our urban planning concepts. You can see this by getting acquainted with the project of the new social and business center of Kaliningrad, a golf club in Kronstadt, a residential complex near the Mining Institute on Vasilyevsky Island. In these, and in many of our other works, the structural, semantic and figurative connectedness of the city context is ensured, as in living speech, due to the use of traditional architectural syntax and morphology. The internal dramaturgy of architecture, its dialogue with the environment and the contact of the city landscape, the cultural codes translated by it are extremely important to us. We consider it successful for those works where the initial difficulties and restrictions managed to wrap up the benefit of a figurative solution, where conflicts and compromises of the form are given to harmony, and associative moves are intelligible for the viewer. We hope that this book will convincingly illustrate our creative credo
