A number of theoretical and applied aspects of the structural approach to the assessment of thermal conductivity of light concrete have been set out. The microstructural mechanism has been considered and mathematical models of thermal conductivity of light concrete are developed, taking into account micro- and macrostructural components. Studies of the cement matrix as the main factor that determine the thermal conductivity of light concrete of the shallow structure are presented. Data on a change in the thermal conductivity of concrete during its adaptation in the enclosing structure during operational influences is given.
