Various aspects of the problem of dynamic deformation and destruction of solids are considered. The foundations of dynamic loading and strength, the patterns of the spread of waves in environments with various rheologies, some tasks of cracks of cracks, models of damaged media are presented. The necessary experimental results are given, which are the physical basis of mathematical models of the media and the criteria for dynamic destruction of materials used in practice. Particular attention is paid to the mathematical setting of tasks, a strict presentation of their solution, physical interpretation of the results and their application to practical problems. The main content is presented taking into account the experience of reading special courses at Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov and other universities of the USSR and Russia.
