The training manual "seismic safety of buildings and structures" discusses the issues of seismority of territories, certification of housing, seismic power and seismic insulation. In addition, the manual notes the features of the examination and monitoring of buildings and structures in seismic -hazardous regions, methods for eliminating the consequences of earthquakes, features of operation and monitoring of unique construction sites, such as nuclear power plants and hydraulic structures in natural seismic conditions. A separate chapter is devoted to the features of fires of seismic origin and combustion reactions.
The manual also includes tasks for conducting practical classes on organizing emergency rescue work after an earthquake and on the analysis of the efficiency of seismic power and structures of industrial facilities. In addition, a set of tasks on calculating the characteristics of combustion in the conditions of an adiabatic explosion and non -stationary combustion was compiled.
