The monograph is devoted to the prediction of the durability of reinforced concrete structures, the destruction of which is associated with the corrosion of steel reinforcement caused by chloride aggression or concrete carbonization.
Based on a comprehensive analysis of models for calculating the service life of structures and experimental data, the Dura Crete mathematical model is preferred. Life cycles are considered for the main degradation processes in concrete and reinforcement, periods of initiation and spread of corrosion. Particular attention is paid to taking into account the influence of environmental factors and the quality of concrete on the kinetics of the penetration of chlorides and the movement of the front of the carbonization. The limiting states of reinforced concrete structures in durability during chloride aggression and carbonization are formulated. The main provisions of the method of calculating the durability of reinforced concrete structures were developed, based on the application of the reliability coefficient in terms of service life. A practical assessment of the service life of reinforced concrete elements was made taking into account stochastic processes in concrete and reinforcement. Verification of the reliability of the model is performed.
