The fundamental collection of articles" Moscow Kremlin of the XIX century. Ancient shrines and historical monuments" continues a series of publications dedicated to various eras in the life of the Moscow Kremlin. The history of the Moscow Kremlin in the 19th century was of exceptional importance both in the angle of the development of its historical and architectural ensemble, and in relation to the formation and development of museum activities in Russia. A number of problems reflecting the historical and cultural significance of the Moscow Kremlin in the 19th century are in detail and reasoned in the sections of monographs representing only new studies. The publication is equipped with a large number of illustrative material, including both images of unique monuments and objects from the collection of museums of the Moscow Kremlin, as well as photographs and graphs from the archives and libraries of Moscow and St. Petersburg.
