The proposed dictionary is a systematic scientific and reference publication containing more than 7,000 terms and concepts in architecture used in theoretical and practical activities. Along with modern terms that are widely used in the universal history of architecture, great importance in the proposed systematization is attached to the terms almost forgotten, used in the history of Russian folk architecture. In addition to the actual architectural, the dictionary includes concepts used in the areas of knowledge adjacent to architecture. For clarity, the terms are equipped with illustrations, brief scientific definitions and some information about the origin. The Slovar is addressed, first of all, to students of universities preparing architects, art historians, ethnographers, artists and decorators, and can also be useful to a wide range of specialists and readers interested in architecture issues
