The book is dedicated to the history of the building located in Gorky Park. Today it contains the park administration and headquarters of the Museum "Garage". A joint study of historians and architects talks about the development of a building that appeared between the Crimean rampart and the Moscow River at the end of the 19th century. Despite the serious condition and multiple reconstruction, the building is an interesting monument of the era of constructivism with rich historical layers. Among the architects who worked with him were famous and little -known masters - including the largest architects and artists of the first half of the twentieth century. Ten chapters talk in detail about each era, about changes in the building and the surrounding area. The narrative includes more than three hundred images, including previously previously published design graphics, photography and documents from the collection of Russian museums, archives and private collections. The current state of construction is fixed in the photographs of Yuri Palmin. These materials favorably complement the available information about the Gorky Park and the building belonging to him on the Crimean Val.
