Chemical resistance and model of reinforced concrete degradation. Tutorial

The main physical and structural properties and the composition of cement concrete are considered. The components are highlighted that are most sensitive to aggressive influences. The classification of aggressive environments is given, parameters are determined, the control of which will allow to assess the degree of aggressiveness of the environment and describe their interaction with the components of reinforced concrete. The mechanisms of degradation of cement concrete in aggressive environments are considered. The main ideas about corrosion of steel reinforcement and its influence on the fracture resistance of concrete are given.
