The history of the emergence and development of the oldest mineral binder - construction gypsum is represented. It is shown that the existing firmness of the gypsum, which provides for the dissolution of the grains of the astringent product to the ion-molecular state, chemical interaction with the water of the clip, the sending of the pore fluid with neoplasms, the loss and fusing of crystals, does not reflect the course of the real process. The interaction of reagents is the process of direct filling in the intercrystallite cavities of gypsum grains with cloth water. The dynamics of a number of the supporting of the construction gypsum of properties and phenomena accompanies are given.
