The book analyzes the monuments of medieval Islamic architecture, described in the book of "Safarnama" (Book of Travel) of the Persian-Tajik poet, philosopher, traveler and preacher of the XI century. Nasira Husrava. The thirst for knowledge of the world and the essence of being forced him to commit a seven -year journey from Khorasan to the countries of the Middle and Middle East, Asia Minor and North Africa, to the Muslim shrines of Arabia.
On the basis of "Safarnama", medieval written sources, modern research, the author introduces the reader to the architectural environment of the cities where Nasir Husrav visited, determines what monuments the traveler wrote about, compares his descriptions with the current state of structures, and restores the history of their creation, restores the history of their creation, restores. Dating, reconstructs their former appearance.
