The book is devoted to the work of the Moscow architect Sergey Egorovich Chernyshev. Brilliant reconstruction work, numerous profitable homes in the center of Moscow, victory in well-known competitions - all this was put forward to Chernyshev in a number of leading architects of the late XIX - early XX century. The name S. Chernyshev is inextricably linked with the origin of the Soviet city planning school. Since 1918, the Master participated in the creation of a New Moscow plan, and the general plan for the reconstruction of the capital of 1935, the preparation and implementation of which he led as the chief architect of Moscow became the top of his urban planning activity.
