The publication is dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of the great Konstantin Melnikov, a legend man who, at the most difficult time for the country, in the absence of any means and opportunities, he managed to create a number of architectural masterpieces-projects and buildings that have no analogues and not amenable to replication.
Most of Melnikov’s creative heritage is stored in the State Museum of Architecture named after A.V. Shchuseva: these are architectural graphics, photographs of constructed objects and graphic sheets, working drawings, the so -called "blue", models, manuscripts. This publication represents the "view from the inside" to this well -studied collection, which not so long ago was replenished with an unprecedented "exhibit" - his own house of the architect, built by him and his family in the late 1920s in Krivoarbat Lane in Moscow.
Within the framework of this publication, only the visible part of the iceberg of the house about the house is affected - views captured by outstanding photomasters, archival photos from the family album, design documentation. A separate place is occupied by the commercial drawings of the house, made in 1986 under the leadership of the director of the museum of architecture V. A. Resvin, extremely important for the upcoming scientific restoration of the monument
