The book for the first time represents a wide reader of the outstanding Moscow architect, professor of the Moscow Architectural Institute Boris Yremin (1939-1998) and reveals an interesting page in the architectural history of Moscow at the end of the 20th century. The idea of the "retro development expressed by B.K. Reremin on the pages of professional publications of the 1980s, embodied in the unique diploma projects of Markh, in which the miracles and the Ascension monasteries in the Kremlin ensemble and other famous Moscow buildings were reestured more than once. In the XIX-XX centuries. The architect’s loved one in love with Moscow sought to return to Moscow its unique artistic appearance, considering it possible and necessary to use everything valuable from the architectural heritage, including unrealized projects of the largest Soviet architects, and thus creating new ensembles - paradoxical in terms of plan, sharp in silhouette and contrasting in terms of silhouette Style forms that make you look at the beauty of our city in a new way. At the end of the XX - beginning of the 21st century, some of these ideas were implemented in Moscow. The book reveals to readers the creative cuisine of architects-urban builders and the polyviation of possible solutions for the same area of the city, it includes numerous illustrations and texts of articles.
The book includes the basic theoretical articles of B.K. Eranina (previously not published or published in small collections), as well as fragments of his dissertation, which set out the author"s concept of retro development. Many iconographic materials, including the unique series of diploma projects for the reconstruction of the Moscow Center, carried out under his leadership from the 1980s to 1998, are published for the first time. Calm trends, colleagues and students of B.K. Erahina, who ardently supported the idea of creating this book, helped to collect all this. Many of them shared their memories.
