The book introduces the Russian reader with life and a variety of spiritual heritage of an outstanding Russian Grek Archpastor, a leader of the traditional Orthodox enlightenment of the second half of the XVIII century Archbishop Nikifora Feotokis (1731 - 1800) Archbishop Nikifor belonged to the educated people of his time, outstanding theologian and spiritual writer, expressed by the Byzantine St. Tradition, he was also a great sign with modern natural science and western philosophical teachings. In Russia, where he had an almost quarter of a century to work on church field, with his name, the arrangement of seminarians in Poltava and Astrakhan is connected, it is also known as the archpastor who has taken the first practical steps in solving the problem of the old supplied split, one of the founders of the one-line. The last seven and a half years of their lives, Archbishop Nikifor spent on parches in the Moscow Danilov Monastery, devoting their prayer and literary works
