The annual contains articles and materials on domestic history, archeography, archival, source studies, historiography, special historical disciplines from the Middle Ages to the present day. Articles on the "Archival Revolution" are published in Russia of the 1990s, on the activities of the Commission on the Study of the Great Patriotic War, on the methodological problems of studying mass historical sources on peasant reform of 1861, on the scientific projects of M.V.
