The pastoral novel of Jacopo Sannadzaro (1458-1530, Naples), which has been created over the years, was recognized for centuries for centuries, was first translated into Russian. Prose chapters alternate with the poetic ecologists of the exquisite style and shape in the traditions of Bokkaccio. In the center of the novel, the author, a young aristocrat, seeking oblivion of unhappy love. Having moved to Arkady, as a different reality, in the bosom of virgin nature he is transformed into a shepherd, participates in discussions, pagan festivities, magical rites, singing and sports.
