This book talks about complete difficult turns, a winding path of Arabs for almost eight hundred years. The focus of the author’s attention is the heyday of the Arab -Muslim culture, which came to the rule of the Abbasids, in which the process of the arabization of Syria, Iraq, a significant part of Egypt and the very concept of “Araba” acquired a new content. Having processed the legacy of the peoples of the Mediterranean and the ancient East, the Arabs not only learned many of their achievements, but also introduced Western Europe to them. Caliphate Abbasidov competed with Byzantium, successfully opposed the crusaders, but could not resist the Mongols, who in 1258 destroyed his capital Baghdad. After that, the Abbasids, having lost power, but retaining the title, remained caliphs under the Cairo sultans until the middle of the 16th century, when the power of the Ottoman Empire was finally established in the Middle and Middle East.
