A brief theory, tasks with solutions and tests on mechanics, molecular physics and thermodynamics are given. The manual consists of two sections corresponding to the Physics Course Program for Technical Universities. At the beginning of each chapter outlines theoretical foundations, basic definitions and formulas. There are many tasks of varying degrees of difficulty with solutions and tasks for an independent solution. The methods of solving tests are presented, and tests are given to test the assimilation of theoretical material. The Appendix addresses the possibility of designing the cosmic elevator.
