Anthropoecology. Textbook

The book is dedicated to current issues of human ecology and assessing the degree of environmental friendliness. Analysis of numerous domestic and foreign literary sources will help the reader better understand modern ecological problems, understand the reasons for the formation of anthropoecology as a complex interdisciplinary scientific direction. The impact of natural factors on human health is considered in the book based on the views of anthropologists and biologists on the migration and adaptation of the ancient population when exploring different ecological niches in equatorial forests, deserts, highlands, and Arctic tundras. Examples of the influence of natural factors on the appearance of representatives of different races are given. A special place is devoted to describing the knowledge of representatives of civilizations of the Ancient World and the Middle Ages about nature. The book thoroughly analyzes the impact of climatic, geochemical, and biotic factors on the human body, providing the reader with an understanding of the natural predispositions of diseases in different types of landscapes and the prospects of resort therapy.
