Boris Stepanovich Zhitkov (1882-1938) is a famous Russian writer-traveler, author of adventure stories and travel notes. During the service in the Navy, he paid attention to what others considered ordinary, familiar. Subsequently, amazing stories for children began to take shape from these observations. This book includes the stories "about the wolf", "mongoose", "Tikhon Matveich" about the relationship of people and animals, difficult, but invariably causing experiences and sympathy of the reader.
