The pantry of the Sun, by the definition of M.M. Prishvina is a fairy tale. It was no coincidence that the writer was chosen an unusual genre: on the one hand, he wanted to emphasize the realism of the narrative, and on the other, to create a new fairy tale, without Ivan Tsarevich and Baba Yaga, to become a modern storyteller. The story of two orphans who went for the cranberries in the swamp received the first award at the competition of the best children"s book for children in 1945 and won popular love.
“The pantry of the Sun” is included in the obligatory school program for reading. In addition to the fairy tale, the collection included the stories of M. M. Prishvin about nature, as well as the chapters from the novel “Kashcheev Chain”.
