Poultry farming. Textbook

The textbook sets out issues of origin, constitution, exterior, interior and productivity of agricultural birds of various species. Modern breeds and crossbreaks used in industrial production, genetic foundations of selection, organization and technique of conducting breeding and tribe work, and features of normalized feeding of agricultural poultry are considered. The techniques and technologies of production, slaughter of poultry and processing of poultry products are presented. Theoretical and practical techniques for incubation of eggs are worked out. The peculiarity of this textbook is that the authors described theoretical and practical problems not only in the main types of agricultural poultry, but also on the use of quails, meat pigeons and ostriches, as well as for conducting veterinary and sanitary measures. In addition, the methods of obtaining organic products of poultry farming and the use of artificial insemination of agricultural poultry are proposed.
