I was constantly at a standstill of what I read about dogs or saw on TV. The dog should not go ahead of the owner for a walk - but the ghost was a sled dog, and they always run ahead of the sled, otherwise how to drag them? The owner should eat before the dogs - but this is inconvenient, since our daily routine provided for first animal feeding. The owner must be able to remove something from the mouth of a dog, such as a bone. What a nonsense! The ghost had huge teeth, and I did not want to take risks, finding out how dangerous they were. In addition, it was quite possible to agree with him when it was about the exchange of objects. If I wanted to take the ball from him, he happily changed him for treats. Why enter into confrontation when this is not necessary? <...>

At the same time, the volume of scientific - really reliable - knowledge about dogs increased sharply. Although much is still unknown to us, we understand dogs better than ever before. <...>
