This collection contains stories of the wonderful Soviet writer Yuri Koval, dedicated to a variety of animals. Burundunes and whites, woodcocks and mirror carps, ravens, hares, Rusaki and many, many more, live in them. And they live so close, so close that some of them even gave the names: the woodpecker is an ant, a cat, a cat, a horse of a cloud, a cool Captain Klyukvin, a border dog scarlet and even a furry caterpillar bear Kai. The subtle, lyrical, deep prose of Koval gives young readers strong experiences, shows the connection of man and animal, and also highlights the dim, but piercing beauty of his native nature.
In the collection of "scarlet" of the wonderful Soviet writer Yuri Koval, his best stories about nature and animals addressed to young readers were included. Such as "Captain Klyukvin", "Shatalo", "Rusak-Tynik",
"scarlet" and many, many others. These works are firmly included both in large literature and in the school curriculum. They are so natural and pure that over time they did not only lose their sophisticated beauty and piercing mood, but are even perceived more acutely in the era of global environmental problems
