Breeding of agricultural animals. Textbook for universities

The textbook is compiled in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education and the program of the course Breeding animals. The textbook provides an analysis of the current state of development of animal husbandry in Russia and reflects the role of domestic and world scientists in the development of the science of animal breeding. The issues of origin, biological characteristics, individual development and directed cultivation of agricultural animals are considered, and the productivity of agricultural animals is characterized. The principles of selection, selection of animals and methods of their breeding are highlighted.
