The textbook was prepared in accordance with the program of the biotechnology course for students of the Faculty of Biotechnology. The textbook at the level of modern knowledge outlines the issues of molecular foundations of heredity, genetic and cell engineering, including the construction of recombinant DNA and vector systems. In the chapters devoted to embryos transplantation, obtaining transgenic animals, cloning and obtaining chimera, considerable attention is paid to the practical use of biotechnology achievements in agricultural selection. The issues of biotechnology of feed preparations are considered - obtaining fodder proteins, essential amino acids, enzyme, vitamin preparations and lipids. Particular attention is paid to the scientific and legal foundations of ensuring biofoores in biotechnology, bioenginery and the use of genetically modified organisms. Each chapter ends with a list of issues to independently monitor the assimilation of the material.
