"Stories about animals" (1935) - a collection of funny and entertaining stories about the relationship of humans and animals. These stories are written in a simple and understandable language, of which the reader learns about the events that occurred with the writer during his travels. The author talks about animals, their habits, character, about how they can be devoted, help, and sometimes save human life. However, people do not always respond with the same coin to their assistants - in the story "about the elephant", the unbearable and exhausting labor of elephants in India is described. The author sincerely admires the mind, courage and nobility of animals and condemns the lack of care and gratitude from people. After all, it is so important not only to love animals and admire them, but also to be able to communicate with them, to understand them and bear responsibility for them.
