A young girl falls out of a window... and, caught by an invisible hand, opens her eyes on a beautiful tropical island. Soft sand spreads under her feet, boundless sky above her head, and endless ocean splashes around. Is this earthly paradise? Not quite: this is a true paradise, and her carefree beach neighbor turns out to be her guardian angel. Here, in this picturesque corner of the world, Lisa will have to find a new name - Mia - and a new understanding of herself. The most interesting part of her life will begin after death. She will also become an angel, and her task will be unexpectedly modern: to correct the paths of the living and adjust the digital traces of the deceased using the internet and social networks.
Here, under the gentle paradise sun, Lisa-Mia gradually learns the secrets of angelic existence and the spiritual laws that rule the world.
To the angelic gaze, all the secrets of people are revealed: by looking into her parents, Mia better understands the history of their unhappy marriage - and her own destiny. Over time, she manages to comfort her grieving mother, forgive her indifferent, selfish father, and finally understand the meaning of her own life and correct her digital footprint, leaving a good memory of herself on earth.
The novel, written in the spirit of mystical realism, is bright, but not pastoral and carefree. However you twist it, it begins with tragedy - and ends with a universal calamity, which the angels still have to work hard to overcome. This story does not silence the depth and tragedy of our lives, but shares light and gives hope, which is sometimes so lacking.
