The leadership briefly sets out the main stages of development of anesthesiology. The physiological changes in the body of the pregnant woman, taking into account the anesthesiological aspects, as well as the pharmacokinetics of transplacental transfer of medicinal substances, are considered. The clinical characteristic of drugs used for anesthesia in pregnant women and women in labor is presented in detail.
The problem of anesthesia of normal and complicated births (drug anesthesia, epidural anesthesia) is covered.
