Correspondence of Andrei Bely (1880-1934) with a philosopher, musicologist and cultural scientist Emilia Karlovich Metner (1872-1936) belongs to the number of the most significant epistolary monuments characterizing the history of Russian symbolism during its heyday. The letters of both correspondents with all the fullness and brightness reveal the originality of their creative individuals, the main philosophical and aesthetic ideas are traced that determine the essence of this cultural phenomenon. The correspondence addresses many significant facts that give an idea of the daily life of Russian writers of the early twentieth century. The most important topic of correspondence is the history of the creation and functioning of the largest Moscow symbolist publishing house "Musaget", which allows in detail to restore the chronicle of his inner life. Only individual letters of correspondents were previously published. In full, correspondence, accompanied by a detailed comment, is offered to the reader for the first time
