The first part of the book contains articles, interviews, the author’s performance. The new possibilities of chemical analysis are considered, the problems solved by analysts-researchers. We are talking about new methods and devices, about terminology and many other issues. The second part is an essay on the scientific council of the Russian Academy of Sciences for analytical chemistry. The history of the Council is highlighted, the main directions of its activity are considered. These areas include the organization of conferences, seminars, schools, publishing work, training, efforts to provide laboratory devices, reagents, etc., international relations and a number of others. Proposals are given to strengthen the role and influence of the scientific councils of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The third part of the book contains essays about interesting people, about meetings with them, about rest, the author talks about his roots.
