The book presents ergonomic aspects of analyzing and designing working conditions in production. The authors have collected, systematized, and classified a large number of methods for studying working conditions (both production-related and socio-economic) scattered across various literary sources. General concepts and characteristics of production and socio-economic working conditions are provided. Special attention is paid to the integral assessment of labor intensity, determined by sanitary-hygienic and psychophysical elements of working conditions. The influence of physical and chemical environmental factors on human performance and functional state is considered, along with recommendations for standardizing, monitoring, and measuring environmental factors, as well as protecting individuals from adverse working conditions. The role and significance of environmental psychology in analyzing and designing working conditions are separately presented. The book is intended for teachers, graduate students, and students in psychological and technical specialties, as well as managers and production organizers, and engineering and technical workers involved in creating and operating modern equipment.
