Julian Del Casal (1863-1893) and José Marty (1853-1895) are undoubtedly among the most prominent, universally recognized representatives of Latin American modernism. The best of the theophile Gautier reached by Parnament Parnamentians, José-Maria de Eleuta, Lekonta de Lile, as well as French symbolists and romantics, was consciously used and creatively developed. And today, Latin American modernists are often considered as "Aristocrats of the Spirit", raised a peculiar creative uprising against the grinding society, gradually becoming indifferent to the beautiful generally and to poetry in particular.
