American folk songs are a collection of ballads and songs that performed at the beginning of the 20th century. The compiler is a famous English researcher of the song and dance folklore Cecil Sharp (1859-1924) These songs were collected by him during the expedition on the South Appalach region - in the states of Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, where the descendants of English immigrants mainly live. Original English texts are accompanied by transfer to Russian. Songs are written in the form of a ringtone for voice and accompaniment on piano. The publication may be interested in both singers and musicians and musicologists, folklinists, cultural scientists and students of music educational institutions.
