A textbook on algebra written by the outstanding Soviet educator and "legislator" of school mathematics A.P. Kiselev. The main goal that the author set for himself was to achieve understanding of the subject by students. His methods ensured a high level of mathematical preparation for several generations of citizens of our country. The peculiarity of presenting the material lies in the precision of concepts, simplicity of reasoning, and conciseness of exposition. Thanks to this, teaching a child is easy and yields good results. The algebra course for school consists of two parts. This second part contains information on transformations with powers and roots, linear and quadratic functions, examines their graphs, and explains the concepts of arithmetic, geometric, and infinite progressions. The textbook is intended for students in grades 8, 9, and 10 who wish to improve their knowledge in algebra, middle school teachers, and all those interested in studying mathematics.
