The role of Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528) in German, and and European art is impossible to overestimate. His time of time coincided with events in Europe, determined all its subsequent history. Reformation, peasant and religious wars, Italian Renaissance in art - historical events. In Germany, in the first decades of the XVI century, the rapid development of sciences and literature is observed. The successes of painting, in which great masters, led by a brilliant durer, who embodied the Great Talent, and great hard work, and the breadth of interest are especially noticeable. Durer creates a number of altar compositions and paintings by biblical and evangelical motifs. Especially successfully works in portrait painting. But, probably, most of the time he devotes graphics. His drawings and engravings diverge in Europe. An extensive and literary heritage of the artist, in which he shares his thoughts, knowledge and experience. In painting, his secret will was the creation of "Four Apostles" as an example of man service to society.
