The book includes two of the greatest masterpieces of Arabic literature - "Aladdin and the Magic Lamp" and "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves" in the classic translation of the famous orientalist and philologist Mikhail Alexandrovich Salie (1899-1961). Mikhail Salie is the first and only person in Russia who translated the tales of "One Thousand and One Nights" from the original language. The first volume of tales was released in 1929, and the last, the eighth, in 1939. This book presents an adapted text for children, made by the translator himself.
