The text of the widely known among Orthodox Christians akathist of thanksgiving "Glory to God for All Things!" belongs to Bishop Dmitrovsky and Metropolitan Trifon, who came from the Georgian princely family of Turkistanov. The akathist was created during the fierce persecutions of the Bolsheviks against the Orthodox Church in the 1920s-1930s. For a long time, the text of the akathist circulated in lists and its authorship was attributed to various people. Only 50 years after the death of Metropolitan Trifon in 1984, his authorship was confirmed, and in 1992 the full, corrected text based on the original was published.
