Notes about a mysterious airship that flies over cities at an incredible speed are appearing in newspapers. The next night, scientist Arnold Reckert disappears without a trace from his office along with his revolutionary invention. Traveler Charles Leonard and his companions set off into the wild Australian desert in search of an unknown civilization. They will have to unravel the secret of an incredibly strong and light metal produced by the aborigines. Emil Robert Kraft (1869–1916) is known as the "German Jules Verne," the author of about a hundred detective and adventure works. His novels "Air Pirate" and "X-Metal" are included in the book.
