Franz Kafka (1883-1924) - Austrian writer, whose wide fame in Russia began in the 1960s - with the publication of the story "Transformation". The peculiarity of the novels and short stories of Kafka can be described as follows: implausible situations are given external credibility, paradoxical content is clothed in a purely ordinary, prosaic form - as a result, an unreal, grotesque situation, striking the imagination, nevertheless looks reliable. All these features are inherent in the novel "Castle"
