Thirty -year -old woman

The famous novel by Honore de Balzac “Thirty -year -old woman” belongs to the section “Scenes from private life” of the large -scale cycle “Human Comedy”, and it was thanks to him that the winged expression “woman of Balzac age” was born. Work on the text of the novel, composed of independent stories, some of which were previously published in magazines, lasted more than ten years.
In sequential stories, the author unfolds before the reader the story of the life of Julie d’aglemon, whom we meet with a young girl in the first pages, without memory in love with a future spouse. Watching the fate of the heroine, the author reflects on the nature of love between a man and a woman and parental love, about modern marriage and modern society.
